The pictures portray a happy, productive and strange missionary. (We wouldn’t have it any other way...)

Well, props to mi hermano
menor, Elder Webb del Norte! He won the contest because he’s observant, and
because he waits by the computer until the exact moment he can read the
hilarious and well-thought-out letters of his elder brother.
Speaking of
well-thought-out, welcome to the group, you “13 others” in my “To:” box! Sorry
it took me 3 months to include you in my letters. It has come to my attention
that many of you can’t see the blog, or just don’t love me, or are serving
missions yourselves! So I’ve decided to include you in the email to be blessed
by my hilarity and wisdom.
First off, let’s all just
be grateful for selfish people, for the opportunities they give us to serve.
Then, let’s remember that Christ was the most selfless being that has ever
lived on this earth, and that it is our purpose here to become like Him.
Well, not a lot of worldly
stuff happened this week. It’s cold, which is weird, because I’m in México. We
have a boiler now! Which is great, because I can see my breath IN MY HOUSE. We
study in our beds under the covers. I bought a keyboard so I could learn hymns
and to see if I could remember how to play “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” (I
remember).

We’ve got two baptisms set
up for the 29th! Brittany is 9 and is the granddaughter of Abuela Olvera (a
sister in the ward. Her name’s Lupita. We call her Abuela). It’s very different
to teach someone so young, but she’s got a good spirit and a great desire to be
baptized. Daniel is also set up for the 29th. The missionaries have been
teaching him for about a year, but he’s not married to his wife (cuz that’s how
they say it here), so he couldn’t make it happen. However, he has plans to be
married the 28th, and asked if we could attend the wedding! We’ll find out next
week if we can go.
We’re also working with
his not-wife, Isabel. I don’t know why, but her first lesson was with us, even
though Daniel and his mom have had all the lessons like 3 times. We’re working
with her for this date too, but it’s not concrete yet.
We’re going to try to get
Daniel’s mom, Yolanda into the water on the same day, but she’s been waiting
because she wants Daniel to baptize her, which is sweet, but we’re not going to
let her procrastinate her salvation.
Greendelia (also her mom’s
name) came to church for the first time this week! She has a very loose
commitment for the 29th too, so we’re going to bring the Spirit like a hammer
so she has no choice but to convert! Yeah, I know that’s not how it works, but
that’d be awesome. I finally get what Alma meant when he said he wanted to
shout the Gospel to the world like a trumpet. I also understand why he said
that thought was a sin, because the Lord has his methods, and we are his
servants.
Well, hopefully all is
well. Sorry if there are typos in this email, but this is the only time I speak
English all week. How funny would it be if I had misspelled “typos”? Actually,
maybe I did. I don’t know how to spell that.

Love you guys.
