The better part of this
week will be explained through my pictures, of which there are many.
Naylea got baptized on
Saturday! Élder Santana performed the ordinance, and I got to confirm her! In
Spanish! It was pretty awesome, and the Spirit was super powerful. It was
amazing that, even with my limited vocabulary/experience, I was directed what
to say in her blessing. Padre Celestial is truly aware of us and knows how to
give us exactly what we need, if we’ll just ask.
Felipe is going strong,
preparing for Nov 8.
While searching through
our old investigators (in the Area Book, those whom previous missionaries have
dropped for whatever reason), we encountered Francisco y Lorena Martinez. We
were looking for them, but the record didn’t have a house number (nor do many
of the houses here). We were on the right street, and I had the impression to
ask a guy working on a house. He came outside, we asked him if he knew them,
and he said “Oh yeah, right here” and pointed to the house next-door! We
thought we were blessed then, but then he walked in to the house, brought out
his wife, and introduced himself as Francisco! We taught them the first lesson,
and he accepted the invitation to be baptized! Lorena feels like she needs to
prepare more. They’re an awesome family. Another day, we accidentally crashed
the birthday party they were having for his brother. Rather than turn us away,
they invited us in, fed us, and invited us to Francisco’s birthday in a few
weeks! Pretty awesome.
I’ll include more writings
with my pictures. Love you guys. Guarden la fe.

Well, this week I bought a typewriter, Legos, and a way awesome spoon with a lighthouse painted on it. So yeah, I’m still me.
¡FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS A MI PADRE! I had a party by myself to celebrate for you. Hope you like the pictures.

“This is the party I had by myself for Dad. Picture me dancing in slow-motion to “Turn Down for What”, because that's exactly what I did (with the song in my head, of course).” |
